5 Myths About Switching Energy Supplier (That Just Aren’t True)

If I had a pound for every time someone said, “I’d love to switch but…”Well - I’d have switched to UW even sooner!

Most people I speak to are open to saving money… but they’ve been told all sorts of nonsense over the years. So let’s clear a few things up:

❌ Myth 1: “Switching is loads of hassle”

It’s really not. If you decide to switch to UW, we do the legwork for you. You don’t have to call your old supplier. You don’t have to sit on hold.You just pick a date - and UW takes care of the rest.

Most people tell me afterwards, “That was so much easier than I expected.”

❌ Myth 2: “I’ll lose service during the switch”

Nope.There’s no interruption to your gas, electricity, broadband, or mobile. Same pipes, same cables - just a better price and better customer service.

❌ Myth 3: “I’m in a fixed contract - I can’t leave”

This one’s tricky because it’s partly true. But here’s the good bit: UW will refund up to £400 in exit fees if you switch more than one service - so you can still get out of that expensive deal - and save money in the long run.

❌ Myth 4: “It won’t make much difference anyway”

You'd be surprised. Most of the people I help save hundreds a year. One couple saved over £1,000 just by switching. (Yes, really - I wrote a blog about them).

❌ Myth 5: “I don’t want to be sold to”

Honestly? Neither do I. I’m not here to pressure anyone - just to explain how it works, and check if it’s worth your while.
